It was the last day of daylight savings and heading to end of Autumn when Yen and Scott tied the knot in the historic town of Beechworth at the old Mayday Hills Asylum(yes you read right)George Kerferd Hotel Beechworth is Scott’s boyhood home before he moved to the big smoke to start a new life with Yen. So it was only fitting that they had their laid back ceremony complete with cloud buster balloons and confetti canons to celebrate in style with their closest family and friends who travelled far and wide.Susan Rosenboom celebrant conducted the formalities
Yen paid homage to her Vietnamese/Australian heritage by placing native red Australian flowers and rustic touches throughout the reception.Scott worked tirelessly creating an epic LOVE sign that lit up.
Yen looked so gorgeous in her non traditional but funky Grace loves lace dress. It had hints of vintage yesteryear. The bridesmaids complimented Yen with their funky white lace dresses and the boys looked so damn handsome in their bow ties and suits.
Guests mingled on the lawn in the Autumn sun after the ceremony before heading off down to the George to be spoiled with choice for locally sourced produce for mouth watering food and wine. The photo booth was pumping, the line was long, the props were colorful, the photo’s crazy.
Pep fromIce cream sandwich films created them a great fun filled wedding film to remember their special day.
A quick photo shoot was had before they joined their guests with a whopping big celebration.Highlight of the night was the speeches, there was not a dry eye in the house, both emotional and funny(especially Scott speaking in Vietnamese)and both their Dad’s proud as punch and had everyone laughing and crying. The best speech was left until last when The best man took to the microphone, never had we heard a speech so funny, the material was comedy gold.
Yen and Scott are an amazing well travelled couple, they have had so many journeys and this was their biggest ever and they are so excited to start their married life and the path it will follow.
Check their video out here that Pep from Ice cream sandwich films created,it really shows the amazing day it was and what a wedding day is all about, good times, great friends and family.
